14U Head Coach Selected for 2009
The NH Comets are proud and very excited to announce that Tara Moriarty will be the Head Coach of the new 14U J/O team for 2009. Tara is a Goffstown resident and has extensive J/O ASA experience, having played her career with the Drifters organization in MA, and for the Comets 18U at the end of the 2004 season. She played all 4 years at SNHU and graduated in 2007, where she and Ashley Smith were co-captains that season. She currently works as a Para Professional in the Autistic Program at West HS in Manchester, NH (working on a one to one basis with an autistic student), and is the conditioning coach for the soccer and lacrosse teams. She is also the girls freshman basketball coach at Goffstown HS, and the Head Softball Coach at Mountainview Middle School in Goffstown. Tara has tremendous passion for and knowledge of the game. She will run highly instructional fun practices, and insure a positive experience for the players. Her assistant coach will be announced shortly.

14U Assistant Coach Selected for 2009
Tara will be assisted by Briana O'Brien. Brie is a dedicated player who grew up playing ASA, AFA, and AAU softball in California for the Southern California Pride. She started all 4 years at Saugus (CA) HS, and played 2B and DH for her 1st 3 years at UMass Lowell, until recurring injuries ended her playing career there. However, she was added to the coaching staff there last season as the hitting coach, and is currently the batting/asst. coach again this season. She will graduate in January.
